The Galala City is one of Egypt’s largest developmental projects, as it is one of the most attractive areas for both domestic and international tourism. This is due to the city\u2019s high elevation above sea level, which gives it a climatic advantage with temperatures 10 degrees lower than the surrounding areas, as well as its charming beaches. Galala City has already attracted investments exceeding $100 million. The investment map released by the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation divides Galala City into three sectors: A, B, and C. Sector A will cover 5,550 acres, Sector B will cover 2,050 acres, and Sector C will cover 6,900 acres.<\/p>\n
The global Galala City has been planned to include a resort, a medical spa, and a public corniche away from the tourist resorts. The city will feature luxury residential buildings, medium-income housing, and a university. It will also include a wellness resort for health recovery, as the atmosphere atop Galala Mountain is clean and free from pollution. The city will have a range of schools, residential buildings for project workers, distinguished housing, commercial shops, a financial and business district, and all the recreational and living facilities needed for a global city. Additionally, it will have a marina, commercial shops, restaurants, and a ready water park with various rides.<\/p>\n
The Galala Plateau project is a developmental initiative that began with soil research and surveys along the road to assess the land’s potential and the raw materials it contains, such as clay, bentonite, kaolin, glass sand, and iron oxide. Three wastewater treatment plants have been established on the Galala Plateau, and the treated water is suitable for agriculture. A self-sufficient power station has also been built for the project, with an independent line for the city and tourist resort.<\/p>\n
The goal of the Galala projects is to create a new, modern community that offers comprehensive residential, commercial, educational, and tourism services in an area known for its stunning natural beauty, with both mountainous and coastal features. These projects will create more than 150,000 direct and indirect job opportunities across tourism, education, and commerce sectors.<\/p>\n

\nThe Galala tourist resort is located on the shores of the Gulf of Suez, in the “Ras Abu Draj” area, covering an area of 1,000 acres. The resort will feature two hotels, one on the mountain and the other by the coast. The mountain hotel will have 300 rooms and 40 chalets, while the coastal hotel will have 300 rooms and 60 chalets, in addition to various rooms and suites, and a modern shopping mall. It will be connected by a 17-kilometer road and a 6-kilometer cable car, designed and overseen by a French company, with implementation carried out by an Egyptian company. The resort will also include a water park and a yacht marina developed by major global companies. The project for the resort began in October 2015.<\/p>\n
\nThe Galala cable car is the largest cable car in the Middle East and the third one being constructed in Egypt. It consists of 9 cabins, with the possibility of adding more in the future. It will have two stations: one at the top of the mountain and another at the base, supported by 23 pillars.<\/p>\n
\nGalala University includes 13 faculties in the following fields: Engineering, Management and Public Policy, Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries, Science, Food and Food Industries, Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Media, Medicine, Dentistry, and Physical Therapy.<\/p>\n\n
